This novel, much like many of its genre, follows a classic tale of a woman called Demure who just isn’t ready to put it all out there. In fact, she’s barely ready to be away from her daughter for even a night. After a messy divorce, going to the pub with her sister in search of hot guys, sounds downright dangerous. Of course, that doesn’t stop Demure’s sister from making her put on a tempting little outfit. Unsurprisingly, Demure finds herself flirting and dancing with a particularly attractive man. Let’s just say one thing leads to another, and before long Demure is awake with a pounding headache, naked, and wondering what the heck happened last night. The man in bed next to her clear’s it up.
Now, Demure is quick to order the attractive stranger from her house. Albeit a bit awkwardly, because she can’t actually remember the stranger’s name and is too embarrassed to ask. What follows is a tale of Finn (a.k.a. the hot stranger) as he seeks out our darling Demure and focuses on teaching her on what passion can mean, and how addictive it can be.
This little number is one of daring and uncontrollable passion.
The real question is: can Demure heal enough to allow Finn into her life?
So, if you’re looking for a great story about love and… well, other things, then read this book.
You won’t be disappointed.
