Having a special place to read is a rare luxury that bookworms always dream of. It doesn’t matter who I talk to, but all of my fellow reader friends undoubtedly have some special location where they absolutely love to read. It might be a special chair or a library of your own, assuming that you are currently living the reader dream of having such a place! For me, this special location is a corner on the balcony of my condo. That is where I find myself falling into books, and can do so comfortably if the weather is nice.
Now, it may not be the library that the Beast gave Belle, but my little balcony corner has played home to me through many a novel. It is the perfect location to sit and let my mind drift off in the distant current of a great book. There is something about having my own space to go and chase down many adventures as they’re written out that makes me connect to younger times when I found myself beginning to tuck myself away while reading in the first place. This particular spot has all of the essentials: somewhere to sit, a pleasant view in the event it was nice out, and enough seclusion to allow me to truly drift away.
Do you have a favourite place to read?
